Regarding Maglev Test Runs
Is it possible to view a Maglev test run? How can I arrange a test ride?
The scheduled test run days for Maglev test runs are normally announced in the late afternoon of Friday each week. The schedule is announced through Saturday of the following week.
Operating hours are announced in the morning of scheduled test run days. The time that the Maglev passes by the center is undetermined.
(*Operating hours announced on test run days are only a schedule. The announced hours are subject to change or cancellation.)
People residing outside of Japan cannot apply for a test ride.
Regarding the Yamanashi Prefectural Maglev Exhibition Center and Related Facilities
Are reservations required to enter the Maglev Exhibition Center?
Individual visitors do not need reservations to enter the center.
However, if you wish to visit in a group (approximately 20 or more people, or visitors using a chartered bus), please download the Group Application Form in advance, enter the required information, and fax the form to the Maglev Exhibition Center.
We appreciate your cooperation in alleviating crowding in the center and facilitating smooth boarding/disembarking of buses.

Hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (last entrance at 4:30 PM)
Shop Hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Regular Holidays: Every Monday (except for public holidays; however, the center is open on Mondays if the following Tuesday is a public holiday)
The day after public holidays (open when the day after the public holiday is a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday)
New Year's Holiday (December 29 to January 3)
*Public holidays include substitute holidays.

What is the entrance fee for the Maglev Exhibition Center?
Admission to the Yamanashi Pavilion is free.
An admission fee is charged for the Maglev Exhibition Hall.
Single Admission
Group Admission (20 people or more)
Adults and College Students:420 yen(340yen)
High School Students:310yen(250yen)
Junior High School and Elementary School Students:200yen(170yen)
*Admission for the following individuals is free:
・Elementary school students, junior high school students, high school students, and special-education school students visiting on a Saturday.
(In some cases, junior high school students, high school students, and special-education school students may be asked to show a valid student ID.)
・People with disabilities and their caregivers
(Free admission is provided for one caregiver for each visitor with a physical disability certificate. In some cases, visitors may be asked to show a valid physical disability certificate.)
Does the Exhibition Center have a parking lot?
We have parking for regular vehicles and tourist buses.
Parking is free.
Are rental wheelchairs available at the Exhibition Center?
Yes. However, please confirm with the Exhibition center in advance as they are limited in number.

Are there any images, videos (data), etc. of the Maglev train car available for use?
We do not provide Maglev train car images or videos (data) which are shown on our website.
